Putin met with Prigozhin

Putin’s secret meeting with the leadership of PMC ‘Wagner’ took place on June 29, shortly after the end of the ‘March of Justice‘, when columns of military equipment ‘Wagner’ stopped 200 km from Moscow.

At the meeting, which was attended by more than 30 senior officials of Russia, the claims of PMC ‘Wagner’ to the military leadership of Russia were discussed. Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed that such a meeting took place:

Indeed, the president had such a meeting, he invited 35 people to it – all the commanders of the detachments and the management of the company, including Prigozhin himself. This meeting took place in the Kremlin on June 29 and lasted almost three hours.
The President gave an assessment of the company’s actions at the front during the SWO, and also gave his assessment of the events of June 24th. Putin listened to the explanations of the commanders and offered them further options for employment and further combat use.
The commanders themselves presented their version of what happened, they emphasized that they were staunch supporters and soldiers of the head of state and the supreme commander in chief, and also said that they were ready to continue to fight for the Motherland.

At the moment, part of the PMC ‘Wagner’ mercenaries is in field camps on the territory of Belarus.

At the same time, Libération reports that some of the mercenaries have left military bases in the Central African Republic. Probably their place will be taken by the military personnel of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

Note that the day before the meeting with Prigozhin and the Wagner group, Vladimir Putin called Prigozhin’s demarche “Trouble and blackmail.”
