Sabotage groups of the Russian Volunteer Corps and the Legion ‘Freedom of Russia’, with the support of tanks and artillery, have been fighting in the border areas of Russia for the past two days.
The city of Shebekino was shelled, almost all the inhabitants were evacuated. Looting has increased in the city.
RDK commander Denis Kapustin, together with the Freedom of Russia Legion, published a video in which he suggested that the governor of the Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov meet on neutral territory without weapons in order to transfer two wounded soldiers of the Russian Army.
At first, Gladkov agreed, but later did not show up for the meeting. At this time, the RDK and LSR captured two more fighters of the Russian Army.
The Russian authorities have lost control over the border settlement Novaya Tavolzhanka in the Belgorod region.
A video was circulated on social networks showing a group of saboteurs moving around the village of Novaya Tavolzhanka. Later, the video was declared fake Ukrainian propaganda.
Whether this is actually the case remains to be seen later.
The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, offered the services of the Akhmat battalion to fight saboteurs, but the Russian authorities have not yet responded.
According to information posted on social networks, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation is urgently transferring about 10,000 military personnel to the Belgorod region. The servicemen were removed from the Bakhmut direction.
If we consider the invasion of the Ukrainian DRG into the Belgorod region as part of the offensive plan of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, their expectations were justified and the Russian partisans managed to pull off part of the Russian forces from the main directions.
