In Russia there is not enough cartridges for small arms

The Russian government has imposed a ban on the export of cartridges and shells for certain types of weapons from the country. Judging by the list of cartridges and cartridge cases prohibited for export, we are talking about rifled hunting weapons and military-style weapons:

The export of cartridge cases and cartridges for rifled firearms of the following calibers is prohibited:

  • 5,45 × 39 mm
  • 5,56 × 45 mm (.223 Rem)
  • 7,62 × 39 mm
  • 7,62 × 51 mm (.308 Win)
  • 7,62 × 54 mm
  • 7,62 × 67 mm (.300 WM)
  • 8,6 × 70 mm (.338 LM),
  • 12,7 × 99 mm (.50 BМG)
  • 12,7 × 108 mm

It must be assumed that the situation with ammunition in Russia leaves much to be desired if the government of the Russian Federation is trying to save even cartridges.
