Before the start of the war in Ukraine, cadavers were supplied to medical institutions in Russia from the United States. Now that supplies have stopped, Russian medical students have nothing to hone their skills on.
At the same time, Russia could use the corpses of soldiers who died in the war for these purposes, but the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation is not interested in such a procedure.
In addition, the Russian mentality and funeral rites run counter to the practice of providing one’s body after death for study.
