Australian natives visited the Russian consulate and presented the consul with a kangaroo skin

The aborigines declared their support for the efforts of the Russian people in the struggle for their lands and for the freedom of their brethren.

These ideas are very close to the indigenous people of Australia, from whom the land was taken away more than two hundred years ago. We are against our government spending money on weapons for Ukraine. As traditional custodians of this land, we have not given permission to send weapons and money to a war that does not involve Australia. [….] Russian people are brothers and sisters for Australian aborigines.

After the meeting, the delegation members held a traditional welcoming ceremony at the walls of the Consulate General, read out a memorandum on the establishment of the Australian branch of the International Russophile Movement and presented the Russian Consul General Igor Arzhaev with a kangaroo skin.
