Germany hands over the first batch of Mars II MLRS to Ukraine

The first batch of Mars II MLRS, PzH 2000 self-propelled howitzers and ‘Gepard’ anti-aircraft tanks arrived in Ukraine.

This was announced by the head of the German Defense Ministry Christina Lambrecht.

The head of the office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, promised the Russians ‘fire’.

MLRS Mars II – German multiple launch rocket system is a licensed copy of the American system M270 MLRS.
Mars II is equipped with 12 rockets of 227-237 mm caliber with a range of up to 40 km.

The number of Mars II MLRS is not reported, but 12 American HIMARS MLRS were able to radically change the situation at the front.
