Prigozhin's company received a contract for the purchase of products for coronavirus patients

Avk, which is associated with Yevgeny Prigozhin, supplies food to the city hospital No. 40 in Kommunarka.

The contract for the “provision of services for the organization of ready-made meals in individual packages” was concluded on the second of March. AVC will deliver food from March 5 to June 5, 2020. The total amount of the contract is 15 million rubles. The contract specifies the address of delivery of ready-made food – Moscow, Sosensky Stan Street, 8. It is at this address that the hospital building is located, where patients with suspected coronavirus are placed. The purchase was carried out without competition from a single supplier.

This method was chosen because of “an accident, other emergencies of a natural or man-made nature”, when the use of “other methods of determining the supplier that require time is impractical,” the tender documentation indicates.

Yevgeny Prigozhin is ‘Putin’s man’. Prigozhin owns several dozen companies supplying food to state institutions in Russia. His name is associated with several corruption scandals when poor-quality food led to the poisoning of schoolchildren.
