In Saratov, a traffic police officer mined cryptocurrency at the workplace by installing two devices in the empty office of the Ministry of Traffic Police.
This became known when the electricity bill of the police department exceeded reasonable limits.
The court of Saratov found the policeman guilty, he was fined 30,000 rubles ($ 490) and dismissed from the police.
The former policeman admitted his guilt and compensated for the damage of 231,000 rubles ($ 3120).
