The State Duma of the Russian Federation adopted in the 1st reading a bill on confiscation of property for fakes about the Russian army.
Taking into account the fact that any statement or publication that contradicts the official statements of the Ministry of Defense is considered a fake about the Russian army, property can be confiscated from any citizen who holds a different opinion.
395 deputies voted for the adoption of the bill and only three were against it.
The authors of the project propose to amend Article 104.1 of the Criminal Code “Confiscation of property” and expand the list of crimes for which it can be applied. It is proposed to take away property from those convicted under articles about “fakes” about the Russian army (Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code) and calls for activities directed against the security of the state (Article 280.4 of the Criminal Code), if they acted for “selfish motives” or “for hire.” .
This is far from the first crazy law of the Russian State Duma.
