Russian scientist died in the dungeons of Lefortovo

Russian physicist Alexander Kolker died on the third day after his arrest and imprisonment in Lefortovo prison.

Doctor of Sciences Alexander Kolker was charged with an article of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation on treason after he gave a series of lectures at a seminar in China on laser spectroscopy.

The scientist was observed in a private oncological clinic with a diagnosis of “Cancer of the IV degree” but was still arrested, transferred from Novosibirsk to Moscow, to the prison “Lefortovo” where 3 days later he died without proper medical care, as reported by his relatives.
