Russian military personnel have 3 options: death, captivity or injury
Only in this way can Russian military personnel leave the battlefield. This was stated by the Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Defense Andrei Kartapolov.
Russian military personnel, including those mobilized, will not be able to return to peaceful life until the end of the war with Ukraine. No rotation of mobilized personnel is provided for, except for tactical rotation, Kartapolov explained:
Rotation is a tactical term. It is carried out at the tactical level: in units, in units. Roughly speaking, two companies perform tasks, one rests at this time. This does not require any legislative decisions. Rotation is carried out within groups under the leadership of immediate commanders and superiors.
Kartapolov explained in what cases military personnel participating in hostilities can return home:
In accordance with the president’s decision, each serviceman today is entitled to two weeks of leave for six months served in a special operation zone, excluding travel time. There are areas where it is easier to organize, and others where it is more difficult, but our command is doing all this. For a contract worker, this is a vacation that is due once a year. And for those who were mobilized, the approach is a little different. In general, it turns out that some have a month, while others practically have a month.
Thus, neither mobilized nor contract soldiers can return to their families until the end of hostilities.
In effect, this means that military personnel can leave the battlefield only in the event of death, serious injury or disability, or in the event of capture.
