Ilya Kiva was killed

The SBU liquidated the former deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ilya Kiva. His body was discovered at about 15.00 on the territory of the Velich Country Club hotel.

According to preliminary data, Ilya Kiva was killed with a pistol shot to the temple at close range.

Ilya Kiva took a pro-Russian and anti-Ukrainian position, spoke on Russian TV criticizing the activities of the Ukrainian government, and ran a Telegram channel.

After the start of the war in Ukraine, Ilya Kiva asked for asylum in Russia.

Ilya Kiva took precautions and recorded videos for his channel in a forest plantation on the hotel grounds. On this day, he probably also wanted to record a video and went to the forest belt where the killer was waiting for him.

Ilya Kiva is known for his loud statements regarding the death of the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny, the head of the GRU Kirill Budanov and other fakes.

In Ukraine, Ilya Kiva was sentenced in absentia to 14 years in prison.

This is not the first time that Ukrainian special services have eliminated propagandists on Russian territory.

In August 2022, an attempt was made on the life of the ideologist of Russian fascism, Alexander Dugin. Then his daughter died as a result of the explosion. In May of this year, there was an unsuccessful attempt on the life of Russian propagandist Zakhar Prilepin. His car was blown up, the driver died, but Prilepin survived.
In April of this year, Russian propagandist Vladlen Tatarsky was killed during a meeting with fans.

There is no doubt that similar attacks will be repeated.
