The Russian edition of Lenta published anti-war articles
Anti-war articles criticizing Putin appeared on the pages of the publication, but were soon deleted. Reports of hacking of the site Lenta.ru were not confirmed.
Marina Ovsyannikova, the former editor of The First Channel of Russian TV, became famous after she showed off an anti-war poster live.
After that, Marina Ovsyannikova was charged with an administrative offense and sentenced to a fine of 30,000 rubles ($ 367). She also faces prosecution under the new articles of the Criminal Code of Russia “For discrediting the Armed Forces”.
Die Welt publisher Axel Springer has revealed that Marina Ovsyannikova will work as a freelance correspondent for German media brand Axel Springer WELT.
She will write for the newspaper and also regularly participate in the news of the WELT television channel.
