The federal center ordered the regions to prepare volunteer battalions
All 85 constituent entities of the Russian Federation are required to prepare, form and finance one volunteer battalion to participate in the war with Ukraine.
Since the beginning of hostilities on the territory of Ukraine, Russian military registration and enlistment offices are actively recruiting contract soldiers. An active advertising campaign for the recruitment of military personnel is being carried out in the regions of Russia.
At the same time, it is noted that there are exceptions to the order. The Moscow region does not conduct open recruitment, and guest workers from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan are recruited for contract service, who are attracted by high salaries.
